Songwriting is an art. Just like forms of painting, songwriting can be a way of releasing your feelings so that others can feel your feelings too.
Well, I have some strong feelings right about now. If you've noticed I haven't posted the last few weeks, (congrats on noticing that.... I was only gone like twice) It's because I haven't felt the upbeat vibe blogging usually comes with.
Someone very close to me (as in, a grandfather figure in my life), by the name of Paul Westphal, was recently diagnosed with stage four brain cancer. I was shocked. I'm still a little shocked.
I didn't know what to do, so I just wrote. A song. And that is what this post is about.
I've released my first studio-recorded song, and I'm so happy! I want to share that song with you. It is very special to me, because it is dedicated to Paul Westphal (or Westy, as I call him).
You can just click this link. Right here, right now. It would mean so much to me. Thanks!
Anyway, with all that said, I will be getting back into the weekly posting, every Wednesday, and I will do my best to continue to bring boredom busters, crafts, and everything else included in TQC straight to your inbox. Speaking of..... subscribe to my blog so you don't miss more posts like this! (Well not EXACTLY like this, but... you get the point). You can subscribe by clicking this here button. Need a step-by-step so you can make sure you are subscribing right? Check out this post.
Thank you for reading, and stay tuned for next week's Wednesday post by yours truly (that's me in case you couldn't tell), which is going to be A LOT of fun! Also, our other contributors, Sam and Carli, post on Mondays and Fridays, so make sure not to miss that, either!
